Welcome to our school which provides seamless provision for 2-7 year old on a multi-educational campus.

We have been advised by Public Health England (SW) to introduce additional measures from 1st November for at least 2 weeks to combat the rise in Covid-19 cases locally. As per the letter sent home on 22nd September we are introducing the contingency measures including class bubbles and staggered timings. See below the timings for each class. If you have more than one child we can help by having all children in at the earliest time and collected at the later time. Please email or ring the school office, or speak to the class teacher to arrange this. Can we also request that only one adult comes into site, wearing face coverings unless exempt and queues are socially distanced. Wraparound provision will remain in place, however Music and Sports Clubs will be cancelled.

Covid 19
If your child has any of the following symptoms (even if mild), you will need to ensure they self-isolate, and arrange a PCR test (i.e. one that is sent to a laboratory) for them straight away:
•             a high temperature
•             a new, continuous cough
•             a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

You must also ensure that your child self-isolates pending receipt of the PCR test, and if it is positive, their self-isolation period includes the day their symptoms started (or the date they had the test if they did not have symptoms) and the next full 10 days.  Current guidance is that other members of the household do not need to self-isolate if any of the following exemptions apply (unless of course they have symptoms and/or have tested positive themselves):
•             they are fully vaccinated
•             they are under 18 years, 6 months old
•             they are taking part or have taken part in a Covid-19 vaccine trial
•             they are not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons

However, Public Health England do recommend PCR testing at the first opportunity for all close contacts of PCR and lateral flow confirmed cases, whether or not the contacts have symptoms or are required to isolate, and limiting close contact with others outside their household and with those who are clinically extremely vulnerable.

Please share your child’s PCR result with the school by emailing the school office sch.055@educ.somerset.gov.uk.  If the PCR test is negative, your child can come back to school as long as they are well enough to do so.
